Elvis? People argue sometimes that traditional bands should stick to traditional repertoire. But the great dance hall bands of New Orleans played "functional music," that is tunes people liked and wanted to dance to. Thomas was all over Elvis, Fats Domino, even Pat Boone! Us too!
Besides, Toby's so cute when he sings this!
lyrics
Night and you
And blue Hawaii
The night is heavenly
And you are heaven to me
Lovely you
And blue Hawaii
With all this loveliness
There should be love
Come with me
While the moon is on the sea,
The night is young
And so are we, so are we
Dreams come true
In blue Hawaii
And mine could all come true
This magic night of nights with you

I happened upon Tuba Skinny and Erika L buskin’ in New Orleans on YouTube! I have Loved them ever since and play their albums daily! As a musician and band member in Canada, I can say that Tuba Skinny and their soulful renditions touched my soul in ways that have uplifted my life. We in the “great White North” can only dream of making New Orleans jazz like T S. Long Live Tuba Skinny and may their music become world wide for the enjoyment of all!! Davey1
