I'll be with you in apple blossom time. I'll be with you when you change your name to mine. One day in May, I'll come and say, Be my happy bride, and the sun will shine that day. What a wonderful wedding it will be. What a wonderful day for you and me. Church bells will chime. You will be mine In apple blossom time.

There's a window light a-burning For someone out there. There's a heart that's ever yearning And a head bowed down with care. There's a loving hand to guide you, Wherever you may roam, Back again to Peaceful Valley On the road to home sweet home.

Blue Hawaii 05:33
Night and you And blue Hawaii The night is heavenly And you are heaven to me Lovely you And blue Hawaii With all this loveliness There should be love Come with me While the moon is on the sea, The night is young And so are we, so are we Dreams come true In blue Hawaii And mine could all come true This magic night of nights with you

I gotta shout it! Hallelujah! I couldn't keep it to myself! What the Lord has done for me! You oughtta been there when he saved my soul! You oughtta been there when he wrote my name on the roll I was walking and talking, I was singing and shouting What the Lord has done for me! I gotta jump up! And shout for joy! I couldn't keep it to myself! What the Lord has done for me! You oughtta been there when he saved my soul! You oughtta been there when he wrote my name on the roll I was walking and talking, I was singing and shouting What the Lord has done for me! I gotta stand up! And testify! I couldn't keep it to myself! What the Lord has done for me! You oughtta been there when he saved my soul! That Friday morning, when he wrote my name on the roll I was walking and talking, I was singing and shouting What the Lord has done for me!

--------------- English translation by Ethel Davey: When the lights are lit on streets and roads I walk alone and think of you. We happened to meet in the lamplight. You walked with me, and I took you in. The lights burned warm when you came here, But they were dark when you walked away. When the lights are lit on streets and roads I walk alone and think of you.

about

Miss Noonie was recorded in February 2011, live at Grossman’s Tavern at the 8th annual Kid Bastien Forever Jazz Party. The wonderful clarinettist Kjeld Brandt flew over from Denmark for the occasion, and bassist Karl Kronqvist came from Sweden.

Three packed shows at Grossman’s saw many musicians sitting in, and a couple of those tunes are included: Gloryland features Smokin’ Joe van Rossem on second trumpet, and On the Road to Home Sweet Home has both Brian Towers on trombone and Janet Shaw joining Kjeld Brandt on clarinet.
